I am almost positive that the will show as the address of the location it was charged at. Her adult son was desperately trying to find a way to get money with only her card number and since square allows manual card entries, it would be fairly easy to do as long as they have all proper information. Sounds like someone, possibly someone you know, that maybe even lives with you or has been to your house recently (not even at 2 am necessarily) charged your card to get funds in their own account. It’s a pretty small amount and my bank is already taking care of it for me, but this is just so strange and I am beyond curious! Does anyone who knows how square works better than I do have any input on how a charge like this could even be possible, given the location and the designation as a chip charge? I have my card with me and I had it with me at home at the time of this charge, I know that for a fact. ![]() It says it was a chip charge….at my house…where I do not have a chip reader. The signature on the receipt is not mine,.The receipt shows the “last location” as right where I live, BUT.The square receipt shows a “custom amount” plus a tip (which is over 25%).I know stores sometimes do business as their parent company’s name and it won’t always be recognized by the customer, but this one is extremely strange: ![]() I have a square charge on my credit card for a company I don’t recognize. Weird experience from the customer side of using square…if this isn’t allowed please feel free to delete, I am just so curious about this!
